Lod`s History Comes to Life
Shuk Laila  at the Khan Khilu

First initiated by Jindas, Shuk Laila (night market) is an event for local entrepreneurs, residents, and visitors from outside the city.

The event attracts an average of some 4,000 visitors per evening.

Taking place in the Ottoman-era Khan Khilu, the Shuk is a reminder of Lod's historic role as a center of trade and commerce in the Middle East. Rather than metals, olives, and spices, traditional items of trade in the region, this market offers cultural foods, clothing, crafts made locally, and activities for people of all ages.
